Scrumpy Ewe Cider





Scrumpy Ewe Cider is an independently-run farm & cidery that grows and ferments a variety of European, heirloom and modern cider apples in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains. They pride themselves on making minimal intervention cider from juice that is bright, clean, complex, tannic and acidic. Each batch of ciders come from unique, individually-picked, New York State grown apples. Never from concentrate and the apples are pressed, fermented, painstakingly-blended, aged and bottled with care. To showcase the true essence of the unique varietals they work with and grow with minimal intervention to the fruit and process. All ciders are unfiltered and nature does most of the work as it slowly ferments in their stainless steel barrels. Each batch is made once a year and has its own unique characteristics based on the growth season, the cider varieties blended and the style of fermentation utilized.
